Disabling Auto-Assinging Watchers
completed

It drives me BONKERS that every single task I create or edit automatically assigns me as a watcher and then sends me an email about the task. I'd like the ability to disable automatically being assigned as a watcher for my entire account so I can choose if I want to watch a task or not.

It would be helpful to have the option to disable the automatic addition as a watcher when commenting on or being assigned to a task. For those of us managing hundreds of tasks, once our involvement with a task is complete, continuing to receive notifications for every update becomes unnecessary and overwhelming.

Can you please allow full customization of notifications on the inbox or the ability to remove it altogether. Right now there is way to much noise for this to utility to be of any value.

This, please!

Your integration with Zapier still forces this auto assign feature, so it is not complete. Sometimes it dynamically assigns a random person

FYI Clickup has just completed this request fully. You can now turn off being added as a watcher when commenting on or editing a task.

Definitely. It's a shame Clickup hasn't implemented that yet, it's been almost 3 years since this feature request :(

I totally agree... If i need a notification or need to notify a team member i can @mention them. they dont need to be a watcher from then on out.
