Subject: Improvement Request: Recurring Tasks in Dashboards and Workload Planning
Hello ClickUp team,
I would like to request an important improvement regarding the management of recurring tasks. Currently, recurring tasks are only created on the day they are due, which makes it impossible to visualize and plan future workload in dashboards and workload views. This greatly limits the ability to forecast and organize, especially for teams that rely on periodic tasks.
It would be extremely helpful if ClickUp allowed future instances of recurring tasks to appear as real tasks in dashboards and workload views, or at least offered an option to visualize and plan these future recurrences effectively.
This feature is essential for realistic planning and to avoid unexpected overloads. I am sure many users would appreciate this improvement.

Hey Vanessa! Recurring tasks only materializing on their due date makes capacity planning basically impossible. If you've got 30 recurring tasks next week, none of them exist in the system yet, so workload view is useless for forecasting them.
Future instances appearing before they're due (as real tasks or projected items) is something we want to tackle for recurring to actually work at scale. Can't share a timeline yet on this one.
