Improve Progress field

Although "subtasks" are included as part of the progress field, whether they are in a "done" or "completed" status, the progress bar does not appear to fill at all. We've completed all substasks in a given project and yet the progress bar remains at 0%.

There are two progress bars. One is automatic and the other is manual. The manual bar is fine, but it would be nice if it was tied to the status. If it gets to 100% then the status closes. I realize that I can create an automation to do that same thing, but then I have to create two automations (one for if it gets to 100% and one for if it was at 100% and reduces). It would be more convenient if it would just do it natively so there are fewer automations to manage.
The automatic progress bar is a mess. As already mentioned, if there are subtasks, the progress bar only takes them into account if they are marked at 100%. It would be much better if the progress bar accounted for percentage completed of all subtasks and would update accordingly. As it exists right now, if you are using progress bars and have subtasks you can't trust parent level progress bars because of their inconsistency and unreliability. For us that means that they get ignored, which is a shame, because this used to be one of our primary tools on another project management system for keeping track of our work.
