I would love to see hybrid email signature support in ClickUp’s email feature—allowing both HTML and Plain Text versions of signatures to be sent dynamically based on the recipient’s email client capabilities.
Problem:
Currently, ClickUp supports HTML email signatures, but there is no option to provide a plain text fallback for recipients who disable HTML in their email clients. This can lead to signature formatting issues or missing information for certain recipients, particularly in security-conscious industries (finance, legal, government, etc.).
Solution
• Hybrid Signature Support: Allow users to define both an HTML and a Plain Text version of their email signature.
• Auto-Detection: When an email is sent, ClickUp should detect whether the recipient’s email client supports HTML. If not, it should send the Plain Text version instead.
• Signature Editor Update: Add a dedicated Plain Text Signature field in the signature settings, so users can customize both versions.
Benefits
✅ Ensures maximum compatibility across all email clients
✅ Prevents signature formatting from breaking in text-only email clients
✅ Helps emails avoid spam filters that sometimes flag complex HTML
✅ Improves professionalism by maintaining consistent branding
