Hey Kate Marsden - totally valid frustration. We're thinking about how to solve this and would love your input. We're considering 'Saved filters with a default' feature where you'd save a filter set and mark it as your default, so search always starts there.

Would that work for you or is there a different way you'd expect this to work?

9 times out of 10 when I'm searching for a task I want to see the most recent open tasks with those key words, not closed ones - so can I set that as the default?

I certainly don't want to sit there while it tries to get Brain going which is just slow and unhelpful and tries to answer a load of questions I never had.
