Hotkey on subtask to go back to task
Razvan Ursan
When creating subtasks and editing them, hitting the ESCAPE key should revert back to the parent task instead of closing everything (right now ESC closes both the subtask window and the task window)

Seriously need this, it is blatantly obvious and should be implemented in the new release if it hasn't already been planned for. When we have loads of tasks with subtasks it's so easy for this to get lost.

UI/UX is terrible - please allow us to go back to the parent task easier from the subtask view

Totally agree!
ESC should close the subtask only

Hey there, Razvan! Right now this is intended behavior with the esc key. However, this is a great idea and I have converted this into a feature request for this in the future!

Tarun Masani: Thanks so much!
Regarding the intended behavior, here's something to think about: which do you think is fastest - hitting the ESC key twice to close both subtask & task window (expected behavior), or hitting the ESC key once to close everything and then finding & clicking the task that was closed in order to reopen it (current behavior) ? :)
I'm all about speed, so the current behavior forces me to reopen a closed task, which naturally takes longer than hitting the ESC key twice if I really wanted to close both the subtask & task window :)

Tarun Masani: As Razvan said, the escape key closes out the task and the subtask and puts you back at the list. Exiting the subtask should get you back to the task.
