Home V3: Inbox (No List) Section, Custom Views
planned
Zeb
- Add a section named "Inbox" to brain dump tasks and reminders that haven't yet been categorized
- Create custom sections and views for your Home area
- Add/remove custom widgets (similar to Dashboards)
- Customize how your tasks and reminders appear (choose to show additional columns like time tracking)

Hey Zeb! Can we please remove the default task ordering? (like Today, Upcoming, Unscheduled, etc.)
Let us make those Columns if we want, but really it's fine just to have a Custom list ONLY without the automatic sorting. Like make different filtering options, but NOT forced date / schedule sorting.

Hi Zeb!
Please add the search field also to home. Thanks!
Your team is awesome! Congrats!

@Csaba Szabó: This would really up my productivity if Home had a search function

I love the new home! Can we get more "Sort By" options for the Unscheduled tasks in this next update too? I'd love to categorize & filter the unscheduled tasks better - to be able to sort by Custom Fields & etc since I have over 300 uncategorized by day but categorized by other fields~

YAY! So glad this is now Planned! Not being able to brain dump tasks to an uncategorized inbox is the main thing that has kept me from using ClickUp over Asana.

Add the ability to filter what lists or folders are being displayed in the My Work area.

Would like to be able to convert directly from a reminder to a subtask

The new Home is great, but not quite what we were shown during the conference. I loved the idea of a daily notes section to write stuff down, as well as location shortcuts. Are these updates coming later?

this is a must have if you want to be able to say you support GTD. The idea of "quick capture" is a key component that is still really clunky in clickup on both the desktop and mobile. I've resorted to creating a folderless list called "inbox" .. which helps, but you can't set it to be a default when you add tasks .. so you end up having to select it every time. Thats a real pain in the butt. On mobile, I just deal with it, but when i'm on my laptop i use a cli program I wrote against the api to quickly add tasks to my inbox. The amount of clicks to get to the clickup tab, hit the shortcut, add a folder after looking for it ... is very tedious and un-GTD like.

@David Askew: +1 I also have a 'to sort' folder which I use for GTD. I use my GTD area on ClickUp when things are either really hectic and there's not time to categorise everything properly or if it's a really small task that is not worth categorising. So whilst I like the new Home area it would be really helpful for it to include improved quick capture.

and please one big favour. stop those constant changes, and start to nail it down. every 6 months a complete new rework doesnt make things easier. :/

very happy there is something happening. i got some things not really clear to me. for example why in an inbox i would add new tasks to "overdue". or why overdue is between "today" and "next". and why "next" is next day only and how i could move it in a simple way to another day (simple means not this calendar thingy and clicking the minibutton). same for inbox on mobile, i really would love to know why we cannot drag taks in inbox and have to use this very bad switch what ends in an immense amount of interactions it needs to change a simple date. but again - i am very happy to see this progress :)
+ now if i read below, its slowly get time to get reminders and not only start and due date - a thing mentioned several times. (and if i gone through all answer it will not be real reminders)
