I'm probably not alone in wanting to either use Notion or use ClickUp. My preference is to see ClickUp improve but pieces are missing.
Here is an actual dashboard I created in ClickUp because the Home isn't useful to me in its current format.
Here is what works:
-- A cover image
-- A quote
-- Urgent and High Priority task
-- Everything Task List
-- Document embed
Here is what I couldn't figure out how to do:
-- Cover image cropped properly so it is responsive.
-- ONE goal at the top to stay in focus throughout the work. Then a link to the goals area.
-- An agenda for the day that I can modify (shows 12AM to 11:59 PM). A column next to it is a gallery of Monday-Friday plus a weekend box that shows scheduled items for those days.
-- A current monthly view of a calendar. I can drag and drop to schedule items.
-- An Inbox as a Collection Center (useful throughout the day).
I'd propose the Home page be reworked so that this type of layout could be created. The Home should be a command center, a launch point to get to other areas.
This gets closer to something currently available in Notion -- a way to build a command center.
I wish ClickUp well.
