Highlight and comment on text in task description

Would be nice to have the ability to highlight a line or text in a task description and comment on it. Then— it would show a link in the comments section and quote the highlighted text. There would also be an indication that indicates that line or text was commented on.
This makes it easier if you have a lengthy description and team members want to comment on something in particular!
Similar to how notion does this: https://bit.ly/2CcPq3j

Agreed. This feature needs to be added.

Agree. Adding the ability to highlight specific lines or text and comment directly on them would be a game-changer, especially for lengthy task descriptions.

Agreed. This feature needs to be added. I am very close to switching the documentation to google docs because of this missing functionality

The feature differences between task descriptions and docs have always confused me. Why can't they be the same?

While the ability to comment on entire tasks is valuable, there's a critical need for more granular commenting functionality. Many tasks contain extensive descriptions, and often, specific comments are only applicable to particular sections or even individual sentences within the description. Therefore, implementing the capability to highlight and comment on specific text within task descriptions would significantly enhance the platform's utility and precision in communication.

PLEASE add this feature :) Would be a game-changer for overall workflow. Only a few more steps away from taking market share from Notion 🤝

Without this, task description are way less collaborative :'(

Especially helpful when discussing the exact requirements for a ticket

Or just the ability to use the regular "comment" feature in task descriptions. Way overdue!!

Merged in a post:
Comments on Task Description text
It would be great if we could highlight text in the Task Description area and make comments on it, like we can with Docs.
