Hide empty Swimlanes
Jason Shanks
Love the addition of swimlanes but makes no sense to have to navigate past a half dozen empty swimlanes. In our case we are grouping by a Custom field for Clients (since we still can't group by Folders?!?). Especially in Me mode there inevitably are many clients that are just empty so there is no need to clutter the view with these.
Attached is my recommendation of where to add an option for this in the View settings.

Completely agree with this. We are using swimlanes for task types, but it's annoying because there are task types we use elsewhere in our workspace but they're showing up as whole sections in board view. Not only need to be able to hide empty swimlanes, but also filter which ones we want to show.

We absolutely need to hide empty subgroups (old swim lanes). It just takes up entirely too much screen real estate for no value add and expand the size of the subgroups to match the number of cards within them and not be a fixed height - loss of visibility into the overall work count is bad.

Yes, this is highly necessary. I would go further: we should be able to filter swimlanes.

🙏 @Hiding empty swimlanes can also significantly help with other issues such as unrelated task types showing up in a list

Mandy Webb even when we apply filters! 😰

Pablo Almeida - yep. you literally cannot NOT show empty swimlanes. I had to stop using the product for my clients.

This seriously needs to be done. Do we have any updates on if this is being pursued?

I think this is a related request that could be done at the same time to improve overall swimlane experience → https://clickup.canny.io/feature-requests/p/height-of-groups-in-new-board-view-need-to-be-variable-swimlanes
