Habit tracker with widget
Naya
I really would like a highly visual habit tracker. I tried to create one using goals but it does not really work. It would be neat if there were a widget for the dashboard.

I would like android/iPhone native widgets to quickly input habits. Much faster than the new task widget, which requires inputting too much data. Just simple button click or widget that can select single value or increment/decrease

I recommend that ClickUp either integrates with Joe's Goals www.joesgoals.com which is an excellent habit tracker. Or buy them out and assimilate the tech into the platform.
This will allow the option for improved reporting and better performance.
There is a place for high-level strategic planning, mid-level project management, and frontlines task management. But those that actually carry out the highest to lowest levels of guidance are not robots. They are humans. And all humans are creatures of habit. So ultimately the pathway to completion of the lofty ideals, wise roadmaps, and orderly steps get down to the consistent execution of each worker.
The best productivity and performance books point back to healthy habits.
I have been taking an online course by Brian Johnson of Optimize that has trained 10s of thousands of leaders in all kinds of industries. He has hundreds of book summaries on Youtube. And a huge part of what he says works is to install healthy habits. That is easier said than done. So many of his PDF worksheets are just ways to track and improve habits.
If not Joe's Goals www.joesgoals.com then surely there are alternatives to integrate or buy out.

That would be awesome! Or even for the Home page as that side bar is kinda wasted IMO

Yess please do I can't seem to find one that does both anywhere!! It can be basic, a separate section in the app where we can make a list of habits (Pic1) and as we check them off each day they automatically appear in a separate monthly chart (pic2) so we can monitor our progress. Like the pics attached

So, I made a workaround. It's not perfect, but it will suffice I think and is actually serving me slightly better than TickTick's habit tracking. Here's what I wanted:
-Be able to see in a calendar format how often I've completed the habit
-NOT have habits clutter my Inbox (I didn't want them to show up there)
Here's what I did if it's helpful to anyone else:
SPACE & INBOX: Make a separate space for your habits - I did this because my "personal" space that I originally had it in was set to exactly that ("personal"), which meant that all the tasks were showing up in my inbox because they would automatically assign to me. Set this space as if you will be using it with multiple users so that it will not automatically assign habits to you. This keeps them from showing up in your inbox, as only tasks assigned to you show up there.
CALENDAR VIEW: Create a calendar view that shows ONLY completed tasks
RECURRING FREQUENCY: In the name of each task I put how many times per week I wanted to perform this habit. This is because I have almost all the tasks set to repeat daily, even if I don't plan on doing them daily - my logic is that, if I plan to exercise 4x per week, I don't know exactly which 4 days each week (those of you with more regular schedules might but I'm a freelancer). If it repeats daily, then I can simply push it to the next day if I don't plan to exercise that day and then in the calendar view, I can see that "4x a week" in the title and then easily visually assess "did I do this 4x this week?" and not have to try to remember how many times per week I had committed to doing something. There are a few tasks, such as watering plants, that can happen at more predictable intervals but the vast majority of non-daily habits I'm trying to form won't happen that way for me.
DRILLING DOWN IN CALENDAR VIEW: I have a lot of habits I'm trying to build, so they don't usually all fit on one day in the monthly view and it does kind of seem a little cluttered (although seeing a big number on a day is encouraging!). But all you have to do to see ONLY a certain task in the calendar is to start typing the name of the task next to the filter icon. That makes it fairly easy to drill down to see how you're doing on specific tasks.

Idea implementation : Add for recurring task the possibility to count each time the task is done. Then in goals, add the recurring task and allow to define a goal with the amount of time the recurring task should have been marked as done.

Hey did anyone figure out how to do this with clickup?
Christina Lynch
I would love this too - it works really well in TickTick but I might have to use a separate habit tracking app now that I'm moving to clickup

I agree, this would be a great feature. I currently use Loop habit tracker, and it's fantastic, but native within ClickUp would be better.
Dating Kinky Team
This is something I would LOVE to have for my team.
For example, they have things they need to do every weekday or several times a day.
Recurring tasks work OK, but they would have to set them to Done or failed themselves, versus if the miss the deadline, it automatically gets "unmarked" and they can see at a glance how they are improving.
