Hey everyone! You can now group by task type across various different views. This includes list, table, dashboard list and board views (including swimlanes). There are a few areas that still need this added, but we tackled the most used ones first for everyone here.

Ivan Villa: FYI - I hit a bug in Table Views that threw a Validation Error when adding the Task Type column with custom task types to the Everything space. Filed a bug report, but it's likely related to this work.

Ivan Villa: when the sort by ASC/DES is done, will they permanently fix the "Task" type to the top of the list? Or will Task+Milestone ALSO move around alphabetically among the other types as you sort them?

This does also flag the need for multiple levels of Grouping.
As, if you can group by Task Type only, you would then lose the ability to group by Status/Priority/Due Date as well, for example.

Not just grouping by Task Type within views, but also within Task View itself for Subtasks.
Right now, all Task Types are grouped together when sorting Subtasks in Task View.
So if you sort by Status, it mixes Task Types up.
It would be great to be able to (optionally) group them by Task Type before sorting.

Right now, all Task Types are lumped together in Subtask area. It would be good to be able to group them by Task Type too (as an option - sometimes it is useful, sometimes it is not).

We would like to group the task type to identify what capability is needed to fulfil the task. Engagement types can be Engagement, Finance etc.
