Grouping by folder in Timeline and Calendar would simplify the views so much!

We are in need of this for grouping by list at the folder level in various views - is there any update on progress Michael Van Doorn, please?

Any news on this? Grouping, sorting and filtering by Spaces, folders and lists should be something that works across all ClickUp.

If ClickUp if going to offer a flexible Solution should have these kinds of things always in mind.

This would be a game changer for management purposes

I leverage Folders for customer and have multiple lists per customer. Boards are an amazing feature by the don't scale well from a folder level. Boards at Folder level isn't functional without either Grouping by List or bringing back the Swimlane feature to seperate by List. Otherwise Boards are just overwhelming to read. Sure you can do this per list, but often having a single view makes meeting much easier.

I want to see a group by option for lists in Dashboards. Does that fall under this request or is it separate??

I have lists for different types of tasks (like Automation, Bug Fixes, Feature Requests) and I want to show them in a stacked bar chart, to see what was completed over time.

I am going to cry blood I think. So seriously, this request is here for 5 years and now Clickup team goes and REDESIGN the group by feature on Board view and what they do? They actually REMOVE possibility to Group by Custom Field. Since it looked that Clickup will NEVER create a Group by LIST on Board view, we actually went and developed an automation via API, that assigned a Custom Field with location in clickup. So you can then have a board view, that shows in collumns all the lists. You know, like Trello. Which is actually VERY USEFUL feature which for some probably religious reason cannot ever be implemented in Clickup because then we would use clickup like we want to, not how the mighty designers from clickup intended to.

So guess what, we just finished creating this API script, it worked!!! And like a week later, clickup goes and removes possibility to group by Custom Field.

SO CLICKUP PEOPLE LISTEN... What we want is to GROUP BY LIST or FOLDER in Board View. Because then you can see your tasks aligned next to each other in columns, maybe even split them vertically by status or by priority, total managers wet dream! And then I can move the tasks from list or folder to another one just by moving them to a different column. How can you miss this again and again and again? It's so useful, so obvious, it would help managing large folders with tons of tasks with such elegance and ease.

But instead you move this request up and down for YEARS. Y E A R S... It's planned, then it's under review, then it's new again even. Why do you torture us? Is there anybody listening? Anybody understands what we need to use?

Come on!!! We have studied your API now, it's not a problem to make it. Do it finally.

We would love the option NOT to group by List in a folder's gantt view. We need to see all tasks sorted by due date in a lovely, list-agnostic waterfall gantt view for all tasks within a folder.
