Group by custom label: grouping order

First let me thank you for adding the possibility to group by custom fields, particularly labels! This is a perfect feature I already rely on heavily. I have only one (ok, two) wishes: That when grouping the order is kept as in the created custom field (at the moment it is an alhpabetical order), like is is done for statuses. The other with is that custom labels can be handled in bulk via the multi taskbar on top. When those two are implemented: TOTAL BLISS! But even now: THANK YOU for this awesome, powerful feature!

I voted on this as well. I definitely would like to see the ability to be able to order Labels in whatever order I wish for the Label custom field. I use it to convey order of approval process for our team, which can change depending on the task. A simple drop down only can convey one thing at a time, which doesn't help the team understand the order of approvals they need for a given task.

I see this has been sitting here for a while. This would be really helpful to have, and currently only have ordering alphabetically make's a lot of groupings by custom field not user friendly. For example, I have a dropdown field with months of the year, and I use that to group my list. However, it sorts alphabetically, when I need it to show up as I ordered it when creating the field.

Right now, we're not able to order those fields of as they have been manually written. Would be cool to have that option beside the ascending and descending sorting.

Yes, especially with the addition of swim lanes, it would be helpful to be able to order these in other than alphabetical order.

Just jumping to say I would definitely love to see this addition as well! Same use case as others - custom field labels for project stages - and having them sort in the order I set (instead of a-z order) would make this feature truly

Sorting by custom order is what's key for me. As an example, I have a custom label (or would use tags) to indicate projects in my task list. The "misdirects" project is the top priority so I want this to appear at the top of the list. I've ordered the custom fields to have misdirects at the top, but when I group and sort by the custom field, it's still alphabetical.

Also recommend having the ability to "drag and drop" the group to change the order as desired!

Totally agree! I typically use custom fields to represent project stages (similar to sprints). This becomes useless if it is reordered to be in alphabetical order!
