I'm no GDPR expert and that may be the reason why I find this confusing.
"Is ClickUp EU-GDPR compliant? Absolutely."
From sign-up page:
"[checkbox] I agree to the transfer, storage and processing of my data outside the European Economic Area to a country that may not require the equivalent level of data protection."
I get the impression that ClickUp can and will transfer/store/process our data in a GDPR compliant way until the data is in a country outside the European Economic Area. This seems to render the compliancy worthless since we have no control or insight over when the data is being handled correctly or not.
Obviously we want our data to be handled GDPR compliantly always.
An example text from Dropbox which makes clear the data is always protected: "...data stored in Dropbox is located in the EU and US. We continue to offer to host business customers’ files in Europe if they choose this option however the personal data that is entrusted to us is protected equally under GDPR whether it is hosted in Europe or the US."
Please clarify so that we can make a fully informed decision about use of your product. BTW enjoying ClickUp :)
