Gantt - Only Reschedule Dependencies when there's no buffer

"Let’s say task 1 and task 2. Between task 1 and task 2 there is a 2 week period. If task 1 is done a week later, this should not influence task 2. There is still a one week buffer. But in Clickup if I move task 1 to one week later, task 2 moves one week too."

Agreed. I have no need to keep buffer times constant. They are meant to be used. I had to disable Reschedule Dependencies completely because ClickBot constantly messed up the timetable.

As project manager, this is a vital feature that I think dependancies are extremely incomplete without it. Here there is an example:

Yes, I run into this exact situation as well. If a task has more than one preceding task ClickUp assumes a fixed delay instead of just starting after whatever task finishes last. This causes a lot of headaches when updating a project.
