Gantt Chart Label Positioning

I would like the ability to set the Gantt chart labels as 'inside the task bar' or 'outside the task bar'. At the moment, ClickUp pulls the label in/ourt of the task bar depending on how long the label is. Unfortunately, ClickUp doesn't do this well so some labels get swallowed and I cannot read them. Manually choosing where the labels go would be helpful. thanks.

Labels now only show next to the task. We no longer switch between inside and outside depending on the size of the task block.
We'll also introduce an option to hide these labels altogether in Gantt to make the chart cleaner.

Could it also be shown with an hover with the mouse (as an easy fix on computer view) for task that are quite long ?

Bugra Oktay I'd prefer to see an options for us to set as to whether we have the labels outside or inside. If inside, then options to set them left, center, or right justified. If outside, then options to set them to the left, right, above, or below would be helpful. Flexibility is the key thing here as a "one size fits all" approach doesn't work well. Arbitrarily picking a placement for everyone is bound to make only satisfy a few people some of the time at best, and no one all of the time.

Totally agree with this. It isn't ideal right now.
On the screenshot "1" refers to the text of long task already started in the past, it doesn't show anymore because the alignment of the text is to the left (sure here you can read in the list, but it isn't that great).

Task Names cut off in Gantt View: Add option to float Task Names in Gantt View to prevent cropping

In Gantt View, the Task Names will float if the bar is really short, however once the time is expanded, the Task Name sits within the bar. This means that Task Names are being cut off in Gantt View. Can you create an option to always float the Task Name outside the bar, or above it, or float IF the Task Name is cut by the length of the bar?

I would like to see labels in Gantt chart like this. In this tasks are in Column A, grouped by bold labels. Tasks belonging to one logical group have a label. Those tasks remain together in Gantt left-list.

In Gantt view, please add a way to control how the task names are displayed. We would prefer having all task names appear on the right side of their respective timeline.

I lead a team of software developers and attached is what we have been doing in Excel. Having the Sprints as labels at the top makes a lot of sense for us as we can break our work into high level stages (e.g. design, analysis, build, testing) and plan their execution along the timeline. We can also add milestones (e.g. releases) and the product team can see which sprints we are targeting them. It would be great if this feature can be implemented and I will be sold on buying the product them and step away from Excel :) Thank you

We also need this option.

Completely agree. At the moment it's half in and half out. Better to float all tasks outside the bar.
