Was working in the desktop application this morning, doing a simple @@ operation to find a task took longer than 10 seconds. It was working well enough in the web application. I was in my inbox. We do have a lot of tasks, but we have over 100 users in the space, by far the biggest hurdle to more adoption is the speed of the application.

That is still a big problem. My team is so limited that I have to think about alternatives. I don't need 1000 AI features, but software that works.

I created another Feature Request called "Performance Center" which could be like a Windows Task Manager for users to speed up their own workflows.

It's SUPER slow! 30 seconds to load. I'm considering alternatives.

PLEASE make search faster (the suggestions)...

I hope this is being seriously prioritized. I find myself underutilizing clickup for personal productivity because the lags feel more distracting than a written list

We also have plenty of user reports that ClickUp is a lot slower since upgrading to 4.0.
Eduardo Corrêa
Franziska Tryzna Hello, after the update the system was very slow. Often the information that should appear immediately only comes up after a while. This operation is not correct

Since being "upgraded" to V4, Clickup is now VERY slow to load in the browser version. It now starts with a loading screen of an animated logo for a few seconds before my lists appear at all, and then I have to wait for them to load too (like usual). It's now really frustrating when I just want to quickly open Clickup and add a task for later. With this and the continued worsening UX with each version, I am seriously looking at alternatives now!

My native clickup (MacBook Pro M4) remains “choppy” in the entire GUI. Editing documents is becoming a hassle. Is there a way to remove animation or something like that to make the interface more fluid?
Charlotte Mckeon
Jarl Helin agree, I have the same problem and it prevents flow in work process. Driving me crazy!

A lot of the feeling of slowness comes from the animations and noise that play before things finish loading. I’d mind the speed less if it were clearer when the page was actually ready, but the animations just draw more attention to the wait — and make it harder to know when I can start working.

Akiva Goldberger: Hi Akiva! Thank you for your feedback. I was wondering which loading animations specifically you are referring to? Is it the ones that are grey bars on the page or the icon illustration that pops up?

Akiva Goldberger
Maggie Chan You got it right — it’s both of them. The icon animation happens first, and then the grey bars appear for almost everything that loads (statuses, tasks, fields, etc.), and together they make the whole experience feel slower and confusing.

Akiva Goldberger Thank you Akiva! Will take a look into reducing the loading states
