Optimizations and improvements for things like clicking around, the app becoming sticky, and generally related to the web or desktop applications.

would love some localisation so on a plane i can at lease add and organise tasks and projects (essentially everything that isn't AI). This would greatly improve speed of the desktop app (though i guess it's essentially a web app so may need total redo).

I confirm extreme slowness both from the WEB (Brave or Chrome or other browsers) and from the DESKTOP APP.
I have detected several blocks on access and the thing amazes me because of the APP designed for CLICKUP.
I'm using mac with updated OS.

I can share a bit of my knowledge:
The main issue is either using Chrome with any extensions or using Safari.
Especially AdBlock in Chrome is an issue and extra expecially those that try to block content elements since the app does tons of layout changes.
In Safari, I'm not quiet sure. The Layout engine of safari is slow but another big issue is the amount of forced hardware layers. Chrome does ignore them for a few years now but Safari does not.
The main focus of the dev team should be to reduce redraws and test removing old layout hacks. In the mean time: Disable most extensions in chrome for clickup tabs. Even stuff like Password managers can be an issue.

Please take that issue very serious Clickup, the performance ist often a big problem in many cases..

WTF is going on with performance? Clickup is adding tons of lag to my workflows. Tickets take over 10 seconds to process. Look at these profiles:
It's really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really bad. Sometimes I can't load assignees, and various dropdowns are practically unusable.
This has to get addressed.

We’ve recently migrated parts of our CRM to ClickUp after previously using Monday.com, and while ClickUp offers some excellent features, we’re starting to regret the switch. Performance has been a major issue, both the desktop app and browser versions load painfully slowly, making the user experience feel like using a web browser in the late '90s.
If this continues, we’ll have no choice but to look for alternatives or go back to Monday.com. The lag is making it increasingly difficult for me to advocate for ClickUp internally, despite its otherwise strong feature set.

In terms of performance, we may not apply it in the end
- Takes time to create task lists
- It takes a long time for arrows to appear in copied gants

I can not understand why improving speed is not a top priority for Clickup. They must be using it everyday and experience the same sluggish interface. As somebody mentioned, this must be the number one cause for people leaving to another tool. I'm also thinking about it of course, the tool is great, it fits my workflow so well, but the un-responsiveness is driving me crazy. Come on Clickup, you can hire some JS specialists that can make this app faster. You have no excuse to be the only one is the category to be so slow.

Hey, there!
Thanks for raising these performance issues. We've been working hard to improve the experience for everyone and want to get to the bottom of the problems you're reporting.
For starters, you may be able to improve your experience of the platform in minutes! Just open the Doc below and follow the troubleshooting steps and optimization suggestions at the top of the Doc: https://doc.clickup-stg.com/333/p/h/ad-4486901/0f60f01d568fcd3
If you're still experiencing slow speeds after following those suggestions, the second half of the Doc explains what to do next! If you end up creating a Support ticket, you can reply here with your ticket number and I'll prioritize routing it to the proper team internally!

Seth Lewis Thanks for the feedback, appreciate it. I tried the suggestions in your docs. It seems the fact of disabling animations, improves the app responsiveness (even if visually it barely does any difference. Let me try it for a few days and open a ticket if things do not get better.
Marcin
Seth Lewisit doesn't help much. Still slow...
Marcin
Seth Lewis and it's not about "proper team" or individual ticket. It just should be priority to make system usable instead workarounds suggestions. Don't You see that performance issues ? Does ClickUp Team even use ClickUp ? Or other tools :D

Seth Lewis The link for this doc is dead.

Andy Pitt: Thanks for the follow up! We've adjusted our intake process for these reports a little bit. I just sent you an email so we can work together to pinpoint why your Workspace performance is not optimal!

My company will probably stop using Clickup soon if the performance is not significantly improved. Soo slow :(
It would be great to be able to turn certain features off so Clickup is faster.
Rob Geraedts
Same here. I've been in contact with support about this. Send them videos and stuff, but unfortunately they where not able to pinpoint what's going on. List loading is dead slow and editing tasks sometimes feels like typing using rubber bands: each keystroke or mouse click takes seconds to execute.
Really a pity. Clickup is the best other there, feature wise, but is becomes unusable and I fear we have to migrate to something else.
As other users already mentioned: stop creating more features and focus on speed to get Clickup usable again.
