Forward Gmail emails directly to ClickUp

A feature needed to forward Gmails directly to ClickUp based on Gmail filters without having to rely upon 3rd party (Zapier). The hiccup seems to be initially verifying the forwarding email address from GMail in ClickUP. ClickUp won't recognized/receive the verification email in order to verify and activate the auto-forward. (This is a common feature we use extensively in Asana; so not sure why it can't be done in ClickUP).

You can now send email to ClickUp from ANY email address!

I have been trying to achieve this in the last 2hours without any luck. It's very unfortunate that something so simple can make my life so complicated, especially when it's a paid product!
I have tried with Zapier, but attachments aren't coming through and that's an absolute must.

It really is as simple. Come on clickup, I've been testing you for not even a week and I am already in this love/hate relationship. We are not setting off on the right foot!

Came across this (defect or feature) after moving away from Trello. We are still reviewing wether to still make the switch.
We act on behalf of many customers as the site admins for their websites. That said each domain we admin can have many forms with many email alias's etc. And with our current flow in Trello we are able to send from any email as a task (with all details mapped) to specific boards. In Clickup we realized you can only accept emails from the account you signed up as and if the account happens to be Gmail then the original issue of this thread comes in to play. This is so unfortunate to find out after the move. I hope their is a status update to this soon.

It's not done yet!
This is the must feature. I also have problem with it. Why clickup cant get verification email as other emails???

Why not take it one step further and have integrated email client where there is true drag and drop of emails to tasks and calendars?

More generally, I'd like to be able to (on a per address basis) allow incoming emails from
any
address (google or otherwise) to create a new task. That way I can have my team email tasks to me without requiring them to have google accounts, etc.SInce we run our own mailserver, I can also setup aliases and not have to forge sender addresses from the forwarding alias, etc...

Along these same lines, it would be nice if we could specify different email addresses to different lists/spaces. For instance, if I have a home/personal space, I would like my personal emails to be able to be forwarded to that inbox, but I would like my work emails to be forwarded to my work space inbox. As noted above, Asana does this easily so it would be fabulous if Clickup could, as well
