When a formula uses money fields, the result automatically shows €/$, even if the result is not a currency (z.B. ROAS).

I found a workaround for this.
If your Formula Custom Field is being formatted as
Currency
but you want it to display as a regular number:- Create an intermediate Formula Custom Fieldthat contains the actual calculation.
- Create a second Formula Custom Fieldand, in theAdvanced Editor, simply reference the intermediate field.
- The value stays exactly the same, but the second field is displayed as a regular number instead of currency.
One additional tip for keeping things organized:
Custom Fields are sorted first by
emoji
, then alphabetically. I group all the "real" fields that users should interact with by giving them an emoji, and I leave the intermediate/helper fields without an emoji
. This automatically pushes the helper fields to the bottom of the list, making the important fields much easier to find.One thing to watch out for: if you're using the ClickUp API, changing a Custom Field's emoji can affect its API metadata/parameters, so make sure to test any integrations after making this change.

In a list I got 2 custom fields, both money type, one for Paid amount and another one calles Amount to pay .
I am looking for a way to have a formula field that brings the % of money paid using both fields mentioned before.

It would be useful if we could format 'Formula' custom fields.
At the moment, if the formula is calculating based on currency (€) custom fields, it displays the result in a currency (€) format.
However, there are cases where we have two currency (€) custom fields and we want the formula field to calculate the percentage difference between them; in those instances, we need the formula field to be in a percentage (%) format.

Come on Clickup - you can do this. Clearly lots of your users reference money fields in custom fields and want the outcome to be formatted as a percentage. Please make this happen so we can format custom fields in Clickup as easily as in any spreadsheet on the market. Thank you!

How is percent formatting for Formula fields still not implemented?
Right now, if a formula references Money fields, the result gets displayed as currency even when the calculation is clearly a percentage (e.g., margin, conversion rate). In my workspace, I can’t even use string functions to append “%”, so there’s no clean workaround.
Is percent formatting for Formula outputs on the roadmap? If so, what’s the current status or timeline? And what’s the recommended best practice in the meantime to avoid confusing “€15.6” when the value is actually 15.6%?
