The planner and automatic task planning are already very helpful. However, the feature could be significantly improved with flexible time blocks.

The current situation is that automatic planning simply distributes tasks over the working day. This works in principle, but it doesn't reflect how many people actually structure their day.

Wish/idea

It would be great if you could define time blocks in which only certain tasks can be scheduled.

examples

Time blocks by spaces, e.g.

09:00 — 11:00 → Private

11:00 — 14:00 → Operations

15:00 — 17:00 → Growth

Even better: time blocks based on filters or custom fields

For example, a custom field such as a category or task type:

“Mails” → bundled in a block

“Telephoning/Calls” → own block

“Deep Work” → focused working time without changing context

In this way, similar tasks could be carried out in a targeted manner, while automatic planning continues to save time.

I think that would make the planner even stronger and bring real added value to many users.
