File Versioning
Skeps B.V.
Would be nice to have file versioning on (task)attachments and option to compare the different versions.
In our case: When working on tasks, we're uploading files to receive feedback from our team. After which a new file is uploaded with all changes (v2.0).

Yes please! This is so necessary for proofing. Without it, the proofing tool isn't all that useful.

As a Designer and Digital marketer, this would be a lifesaver for me!

This would be fantastic as part of our approval process requires review and a stamp of documents. Having the ability to revise an attachment would be a much better way of tracking and cut down on clutter.

Document Versioning at the Task Level
Elijah Neundorfer
I store many different types of documents in my tasks, including powerpoints, word documents, and code files. Docs are not always useful for storing documents in the format I need, and so I primarily use external document editors in my work. However, I usually attach the same document to tasks multiple times as we make edits and create new versions. I've run into the problem where I now have many different attachments for each version of the document I've added, but don't want to delete the old version. Therefore, can we implement a version control similar to Google drive, where as I add documents with the same name it creates a new version of the document. The most recent version is the default version that is opened, but I can also see all prior version of the document, who added/updated them, and when they were added.

In approval process, when loading new or edited graphics or content, allow new versions to be loaded and labeled automatically.

Attached files should be revisionable (cf. SVN).

+1 This would be an amazing feature for creative teams

This would be useful for my team also. We upload revisions to designs using files of the same filename (especially for minor tweaks), and it would be nice to have some way of hiding previous versions of the same filename (as JIRA does) or at least emphasizing the newest version while making the older version subdued.

From support ticket: Is there any way of doing version control for documents? For example, we are working with building PDFs with designers and copyrighters and i've noticed that it's difficult to track versions the way its set up in Clickup; especially with attachments not being posted within a comment thread.
