The US Department of Defense's CMMC policy has been published, and CMMC requirements will begin to show up on contracts for those who do business with the DoD. Part of these requirements are that any cloud systems that a contractor uses and that touch confidential unclassified information (CUI) must be FedRAMP moderate certified. If Clickup cannot meet these requirements then businesses will have to cut Clickup out of their government work and find a different product to use. This includes SBIR contracts, which many small businesses pursue as an introduction to government contract work.

I've used ClickUp to start 4 new companies lately and I have been using it for over 7 years now. I love it and I am a verified power user. With each new company though I have had to drop ClickUp and switch to several other tools (like Microsoft's Project 🤢) because ClickUp doesn't have the FEDRAMP certifications.

I agree with Nathan. I think ClickUp would be a powerful tool in our small software development and engineering company. My concern is that we work with the DoD and are pursuing CMMC 2.0 Level 2 certification and ClickUp doesn't have a FedRAMP Moderate certification. Is there any movement towards getting FedRAMP certified?

To be clear, a large majority of the nearly 1M federal prime or subprime contractors that do work for the DoD may have this requirement if they have a contract awarded in the next 12 months. It's a huge audience, and many clickup customers will realize this problem over the next 6-12 months. Just take a look at Google Trends for "CMMC Assessment".
