Feature Request: Subtask Activity Visibility in Parent Task Log
P
Phil Rose
I noticed that when there's activity within a subtask—such as comments or updates—it doesn’t appear in the parent task’s activity log. This makes it easy to miss important changes happening at the subtask level.
It would be incredibly helpful if any activity within a subtask could trigger a notification or be reflected in the parent task’s log. This would improve visibility and help teams stay on top of all related updates without having to manually check each subtask.

Being able to see the activity that was taken on custom fields in the subtask in the activity log of the parent task would be super useful, so I can see when myself, or a team member has followed through on action items.
Please see the image below as an example.
I have subtasks, and some of the subtasks, has its own set of subtasks.
You can see this by the Yellow Highlight I have added.
I have created 2 custom check box fields circled in Blue & Purple.
Emailed Plans and Follow up Email.
Each Subtask has a status of request/receive.
knowing when someone has changed the status or checked or unchecked the boxes would be helpful.
I use this nearly every day for project management.
Having activity being tracked would be great.
I would suggest having a subsection in the activity log like a Drop-down field where you can view subtasks action taken VS. Parent Task action taken.
That way the main points are able to be seen at glance, and those of us who need more detailed information can still access it via a Drop-down field.
