Hi ClickUp Team,
I’d like to submit a feature request that I’ve been hoping to see for a while, as I believe it would make dashboards much easier to use for everyone. I’ve attached screenshots of my dashboard for reference.
  1. Number cards: open the underlying data on click
When someone clicks a number card, such as “In Progress: 36” or “Completed: 61,” it should open a popup showing those specific tasks first, with settings available as a secondary option. For users who can’t edit, or when the dashboard view is locked, clicking should simply show the data.
  1. Bar charts: drill down by bar
Clicking a specific bar should open a popup with the tasks behind that bar, with an option to edit in a separate tab if the user has edit rights. Clicking the chart background could open the edit settings instead.
  1. Pie charts: drill down by slice or label
Clicking a slice of the pie, or its label, should open the tasks behind that segment.
In short, every number and visual on a dashboard would become a direct entry point to its data. This would save a lot of time for teams who use dashboards to review progress and act quickly, especially viewers who don’t have edit access.
Thank you for considering this, and I’d be happy to share more details if helpful.
Best regards,
Hasan
