Currently, Connected Search only ingests file content for documents less than one year old. Files older than that are discoverable by name but their contents can't be read by Brain or Super Agents. For teams managing compliance and supplier documentation, this is a significant limitation.

Use case:

We manage raw material approval documentation (technical specifications, product data sheets, HACCP plans, allergen declarations, etc.) stored in SharePoint. These documents are often valid for 2-3 years and don't get updated unless there's a formulation change. A supplier spec issued in 2024 is just as relevant today as when it was created.

We've built a Super Agent that searches SharePoint to check which supplier documents exist and answer questions about their content. The 1-year cutoff means the agent can confirm a file exists but can't read what's inside it, which defeats much of the purpose of Connected Search for our workflow.

Request:

Extend the content indexing window to at least 3 years, or ideally make it configurable per workspace. Many regulated industries (food safety, pharma, manufacturing) work with documents that have long validity periods and rarely change. A 1-year window assumes documents lose relevance quickly, which isn't the case for compliance and quality management use cases.
