Extend "Add task to list" feature with option to add a task as a subtask to another task
Florian Schardt
With the current "Add task to list" feature, you can add a "linked copy" to another list. Currently this the "linked copy" is shown as a parent task in the other list. This is the case, even if the original task is a subtask.
-> It would be great, if you could add any task as a subtask of another task.
The original task would remain were it was. After adding it as a subtask of another task, it would be shown as a subtasks of that second task, too.
I hope you can understand my explanation.
How would we use this feature?: We are currently having tasks that represent products. Those tasks are in a list that belongs to this product and which contains other tasks.
We also have tasks that represent suppliers. I would like to add the "product" task as a subtask to the "supplier" task without removing it from its original location.

It would also be useful if the original task is a main task (not subtask) and then you "add to" a 2nd list and make it the subtask of a task there.

I have a requirement. I am maintaining the feature backlog in a list named "feature_backlog". This feature backlog list contains all features and the stories as the subtask of a feature. Once prioritised, I want to move subtasks of a feature i.e. set of stories as a task in the SPRINT list ( in development folder).
As soon as development team would complete the stories, I can track the feature completion alongside using the "Progress" columns provided in Clickup2.0
