Agreed. We are dealing with this now. As we are working towards a regulatory submission, we are trying to use ClickUP for our design inputs. We need to view, work and export the description field. Otherwise we need a custom field, and that risks having two locations for info and inconsistent info when updates are made, and the description is easier to work with from a ticket view, but then list view it doesn't work. This has caused issues and time in meetings to find the right workaround and fail safes.

Not being able to export task description has made it quite difficult for our team to use the important information's in task description to carry out external process (outside of ClickUp).

We use this data for various reports and automated forms generation. However, as we cannot export the task description within the list views, we have had to resort to exporting the whole workspace from the export/import setting.

This is very time costly and slows down some of our processes. Since workspace export already supports the export of task description, it seems to be an already "export possible" field, so including the same support in list view export would make a huge difference to our works.

Thanks for the request! out of curiosity are most of your descriptions simple text or do you add a lot of rich content like embed vides tables etc :)
