Wow! I went to put in this request, and I see that it's 6 and a half years since this request came out and it's still not a thing?

I think Events should be a huge priority. While Tasks are great for things that need to get done, I'm trying to build out a master events calendar for my school district in which we can assign tasks to the event, but not have the event be a task it's self. We won't always have tasks for events, but we do need to know that they're there, and having the ability to manage our workload to assign tasks to events based on staff availability within a single app would be great.

I don't need to know when an event is overdue... just the tasks that may be assigned to the event.

I agree. I like the workload view to delegate and plan work. But it is very time consuming to first check the google/outlook calender.

An integration to see all activities of outlook calender in ClickUp would be amazing to plan the tasks in ClickUp.

Also very strange that 'the app for everything' doesn't have this, especially since planning is a huge part of projectmanagement....

ok so five years after you said you're working on this and nothing... kind of seems like you don't give a sht. This is basic functionality, basic programming. Not asking for a diamond bejeweled golden feature here, asking for a task that can be added with a scheduled repetition. Not hard.

And also importing events from your integrated google calendar would be great as well!

Hey, just wanted to keep this post alive as it'd still be a great feature. I love all of the flexibility of ClickUp, but it's definitely missing the ability to have events. It's great I can see what's due when, but I'd love to be able to see that I have something that will take 3 hours so I know those 3 hours are spoken for. I know this is kinda why it's easy to integrate with other calendars, but I'd still really love the one stop shop.

Totally need this. I believe you could use 'Event's as a definition to cover both events, vacation/annual leave and such, as a nice way to block out things that aren't actually tasks, but are still key to planning out a timeline of work. Most of the due dates for my team are based around events of some description. I've mockup up a thought about where you could display such events (say a single row beneath the dates row!) which would be fantastic. It would also be great to have features built into 'events' so that you can add prompts and reminders as they approach.

This would be great. Right now my events are "tasks" too in ClickUp but this means when I sync it with my scheduling tool, it can't distinguish between an all-day event and a due date and blocks both off - so right now I always have to give my due dates a time so my scheduler doesn't think it's an all-day event in Clickup.

Sunsama made a very interesting app to work with tasks and your calendar
