Email replies to comments made by email

I'm not sure if this is a feature request or bug. If I send an email to a task using "send email to task" then it appears as a comment but I'm unable to reply to this email using email from within clickup. I can only comment. The screen shot probably explains it better. I can't understand why this has been left out, or is it a bug?

I'd like to see the same feature. I'd prefer to keep all the email in the task, but of course sometimes a thread is started outside of it. Not being able to reply in the task means that we start another thread outside of ClickUp and the problem proliferates. Also, we need to be able to hide or collapse email that comes in from Send to Email because it floods the view.
As a workaround, I paste the task number into every email I send. I put it in an inconspicuous place at the bottom of the email. That makes it very easy for me to search in my email for all orphaned threads and bring them back together. Within my team, I put the task number in the subject line so they don't have to hunt for the task AND they know that a task has already been created.

Hey Ralph! This is a known area for improvement for us. Long story short, these are two separate features so they don't play well together. We have plans to merge them into one, but there's no ETA at the moment.

Disappointed to hear there is no ETA. Surely emails sent to a task should be treated exactly like an email thread that had been started from clickup? If someone replies to an email I sent them from clickup then I'm able to reply to them - I'm struggling to understand how this is any different? - The problem seems to be that the "send email to task" functionality isn't treating the sent email as an email thread when it should be (IMO), otherwise what use is it? Seems like most of what is needed to make this happen is already in place as we can already reply to emails that were started in clickup.
