It would be great if we could set the due date while creating the task, the same way we can assign the task to someone.

Alex Calinov: Isn't this pretty fast, and just as fast as assigning someone?

Henning H. Haugen: It is fast. It's just that you are doing it differently, in which case fast can be subjective. If I have to learn a new way of doing things, that is not fast.

I normally, and I'm sure I'm not the only one, tend to setup tasks and everything related to as task , e.g. due date, assign it, priority, etc..in a linear way, and only at the end hit the SAVE button. Now it feels more as a job half finished because you can do the Priority and Assign it, but you can't do the due date.

Seeing that is already possible to assign the task while creating it , I thought it wouldn't be that hard that add the calendar button there as well.

Also, Zeb, I just noticed that the Chrome extension doesn't have a set due date when creating tasks. It would be great to have that. https://d.pr/i/8ShT5r

Henning H. Haugen: I think OP means in text. Todoist has a nice way of handling that (detects blobs such as "today" and proposes due date accordingly). It helps staying on the keyboard when you know exactly the parameters of the task you want (so, faster).
