Drag and Drop multiple tasks in Board View
in progress
Eric Shuai
Hi there,
When I tried to drag and drop tasks in Board View, it only moves one. It will be great if by selecting multiple tasks, we can move them all at once, just like in List View.
Thanks! Keep up the great work!

I would love to see this change!
It's unintuitiv to be able to multi-select tasks in board-view and then not be able to drag-and-drop them in a different status in the same project at the least - instead having to use the multi-task toolbar.
Especially when all of this is already possible in list view, including the solution for the problem Zeb raised.

Hey Eric! The problem is that we can't always guarantee a group of tasks has the same available statuses. For example, when you're viewing 'all spaces' - you could select multiple tasks that have different statuses.

Zeb: Hi Zeb!
Oh I see... I didn't think about the "all" view, I was thinking in one project at the time. I was also thinking moving into lists, and not around (though now thinking I think I would have more use moving tasks around).
What if there was an error that prompted the user that an amount of tasks selected don't have the status in their corresponding project, and ask the user if they would like to deselect those tasks, or create new statuses in those projects to complete the process? Or if this feature is only available in single-space mode? (though that would make this a somewhat incomplete feature)
Zeb
Eric Shuai: Yeah that's a great idea! We'll get something like that added in the near future. It will be several releases though. Thanks Eric!

Zeb: you can also have statuses (or custom field values) or whatever you're grouping by in board view have the ones that are available for everything in a certain column color (or no color by default) with the ones that aren't available for everything noted by a different column background color, or dotted lines, or something so that it is easy to see which may not accept all tasks. Then as Eric pointed out have a pop-up when necessary that just says, sorry this value isn't available for items form this space. To create this value in that space, click here.... etc.
