I have been trying to change the icon for a custom one for hours but it won't let me. I tried to drag an image and IF you allow it and I get the option to save but I DON'T know where it saves it because it doesn't replace it or add it to any list, it keeps showing me the default ones. How do you change that icon on each list?

I agree with this. This should be a basic fix on an image level which allows for proper customization, which in turn supports the individualized branding of customers, which in turn supports productivity and brand identity.

I changed the background on an icon to match the dark mode which is moderately better (though the extra square bits in the cover don't really blend properly), yet this is a multi-step process for something that could be a simple upload. Plus, the uploaded icons should be available for other Docs and associated Tasks, etc.

Please, it looks horrible! When we upload new images, there is no reason to convert our transparent background pngs to jpeg with a colored background (which is what's happening). Just keep the same MIME type when uploading when you place it in clickup-attachments.com ! Since we see them in <img> html tags, there will be no problem.
