Document / Attachment Version Control

Good Day. We need document version control for attachments such as jpegs, pngs and videos. I know there is a functionality available for word documents. But we need this for all types of files too. We would like to avoid attaching too many versions of the same file to a project. This also was a feature that was previously available to us on Wrike.

Too often we get folks on our team commenting on an outdated file. With version control, it could be apparent which files are old and which is the newest.

Yes, this would be great!

I agree this is important to clean up attached documents to tasks. I believe this feature is also available in Monday.com

We absolutely need this for proofing purposes. Clickup is really failing for us in the approval and review process. There are so many things missing, including this.
Being able to upload a new version of the file instead of just having 5+ files of the same thing with updates is really needed. It gets confusing and adds extra steps for the designer to make sure the reviewer is opening the correct and most up to date file.
I can't believe there are not more people asking for this, unless I am searching the wrong terms...

Hey Kyle Correia De Araujo! Thanks for the feedback! Can you provide a little more detail around this? Are you referring to attachments on Docs (which are inline) or Tasks (which live in the attachments section).

Justin Hunter: Hi Justin. Hope you are well. What we need is file version control that is automated with overwrites every time the same file is updated. So we can revert to revision 1 on a specific date. Here is a screenshot of the functionality that was previously available to us on wrike. We specifically need these for jpgs, videos, pptx, docs and pdfs. This feature was automatic with wrike, so there was no need to manually create tasks lines and then upload and label different versions of the same file (this is now a time consuming manual process with clickup). We were also able to revert to previous versions and also see debriefs, comments on the previous versions.
