Docs - Daily notes
Dean Phillips
I'd love something like daily notes found in roam. When you create a new doc/load docs it creates a page for the day with the date automatically placed as the title:

I've been using Tana (similar to Loqseq/Roam), and I am definitely being tempted away from Clickup.
I find it very useful to use the daily notes, and find that I often create tasks right from the daily notes. I can then, elsewhere in Tana, see a list of all of my tasks.
It's useful to be able to see the task creation in context.
its also possible to tag the task as I type, rapidly, by applying 'tags'.
would be really cool if I could create notes in clickup and rapidly create tasks as I type. this would be useful for when I type meeting notes, or daily notes.
A way this could be done is to type @@ (to bring up the task search box) - but allow us to type a NEW task => 'create task'. This would result in a link to that task appearing as an inline ref.
Then, clicking on the ref - should open the task in a side panel.
The way this works could be adjusted by the user - e.g. tasks by default appear in a certain location.
Alternatively, we could be allowed to use tags. using #. perhaps, the use of # could work with clickups 'labels'. This way labels used in task cards, could also be used in documents inline.

I strongly agree with this request. I've been using LogSeq lately and have found it pulling me away from Clickup for this feature alone. So easy to use and recall from. This might also help to solve some of the organizational challenges that crop up with docs in Clickup.

Great idea! Roam and Notion have a lot of this capability around personal routines and organization, like @mentioning dates:
ClickUp could be the de facto way to go this with teams & work management with some more implementation poke what Dean Phillips is talking about here!

Ivan Villa Any idea if this has already been put forward to the ClickUp team before? I've already submitted the doc survey and didn't mention this.
Would work well as a clickapp :)

Dean Phillips: Hey Dean! Probably not something that will come out soon, we have a lot of other Doc related features we want to prioritize, but it is a nice Idea. I personally always start my notes with a date but I do this manually right now. I would probably be one of the first to use it on my team haha

Ivan Villa: Makes total sense, man! Glad I'll have your vote in the future :P haha

Ivan Villa: Ivan, wanted to bring to your attention another related request I put in. Sorry if this is out there already but I couldn't find it.
This is a great feature of Notion, and would remove the need to manually enter dates, something I also am plagued with.
Thanks for considering!
