Docs: Anchors & Linking to Doc anchors
complete

It would be useful to be able to create anchors in a Doc that can be linked to from elsewhere.
Ideally two types of anchors would be possible: 'named' & 'quick'.
- 'Named' anchors would be browsable in the Page view & searchable when linking from elsewhere.
- 'Quick' anchors would be created in the doc via a 'Copy Quick Link' command, for a link which could then be pasted elsewhere.
This feature would also provide a base for personal & shared bookmarks.

Click a block's drag handle on the far left, and copy the block link! Paste it anywhere or share the link to take someone to that exact block directly!

Super necessary to actually use ClickUp docs properly. Really looking forward to it being added soon

We really need this to help get us away from Google Docs

Such an important feature for Documents to point somebody to the right direction, at least with Headings. Notion has got a way how you can "Copy Link" to any block that exists and link somebody directly to it. Helps avoid confusion of where you are referring to. There is this Chrome extension and unfortunately it also doesn't work https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/link-to-text-fragment/pbcodcjpfjdpcineamnnmbkkmkdpajjg?hl=en

Cool to have!

Here's a related feature request, that I think is a subset of this request:

We'd love to be able to link to another page of the doc without it launching a new tab =))

Marnie Hanlon: Thanks so much for mentioning this, Marnie! I'm completely befuddled by this issue, and I'm surprised that you are (so far) the ONLY person I've seen who has mentioned this.
I actually actually asked about this problem recently in the ClickUppers FB group, and it seemed like folks did not even know what problem I was referring to: https://www.facebook.com/groups/ClickUppers/permalink/1547874965387940/?comment_id=1548329592009144
Hope to make a video later today to illustrate the issue in the hope of getting some traction on resolving this issue. In the meantime, if you have any interest in sharing your 2 cents, please join the discussion!
Thanks in advance,
Metta

From support ticket: There's a field option to include a website link, which is great. However, I need to be able to use anchor text with it. When I enter the URL, it automatically saves as generic anchor text with the name of the website. Is there a way to edit that anchor text?
