Do not show subtasks if parent tasks are closed

Paul Zoulin
If a parent task is closed, but the subtasks have a non-closed status, the sub tasks still show in filtering. Expected behaviour is that they would _not_ show. The reason that this is an issue is that if I have a closed task that is set to repeat by creating a new task, I might want to set the sub tasks to an initial status for the repetition. However I can't do this because they continue to show in filtering.

For some closed tasks I want to be able to leave certain subtasks in a 'Not started' or 'Active' state with their original due dates for reference purposes. But because the parent task is closed I do NOT want these subtasks to show up as an active subtask. My workaround has been to use a different 'Closed' status for subtasks that were originally planned but not completed and no longer relevant. It would be nice to be able to simplify my statuses though and have a way to filter out subtasks belonging to closed parent tasks.

Alternatively, option to close all subtasks automatically when the parent task is closed. When I search for overdue tasks, subtasks attached to closed tasks show up and cause confusion

Brian Ramaley: I agree.

Agreed. If a parent task is closed it can be assumed all subtasks are complete and should be marked as complete as well.
