Desktop App - Back Button or Tabs
Corey Huddleston
The desktop app does not have tabs, so when an in-app link is clicked, we lose our place in ClickUp. If we have much going on, and we fail to minimize the task, it is not possible to go back. Therefore, a back button would be very helpful, kind of like a browser's back button. If you don't do this, then opening links in new tabs would work. The back button is better than tabs, since tabs make it more like a browser than an App.

Many individual FRs for tabs in Desktop, commenting for support on this one as it has the most likes. I think seeing all of them merged would give us a better understanding of customer desire for this!

Agree with all the TAB comments, suggestions, it's more productive to be able to switch back and forth quickly just to complete something due to interruptions or just something that needs done immediately while completing something else. It's not an unreasonable request that would appear easy to accomplish... Hope we can get this elevated to the right person to get it on the roadmap soon!

This would resolve the issue that I have with syncup. If I'm in a syncup and navigate to another part of Clickup, I have to go back to chat (then I lose my place in Clickup). Having tabs would make navigation much easier.

Tabs are a MUST requirement for the app.

I'm shocked to see this feature was requested 5 years ago and has not been implemented. I need desktop app tabs to quickly switch between open tasks or docs etc.

It appears that the app does indeed have a back button, but tabs would be really nice. I have avoided the desktop app because of the lack of tabs

I absolutely need to see tabs in the desktop happen! This is a massive frustration for my entire team who is managing clickup and other systems in the process. We want to avoid being in a web browser. This has to be done ASAP!!

Yep this is definitely needed. The tray doesn't support adding views so it's not really very useful without that functionality. I'm currently using Clickup installed as an Edge app as a workaround, but it often requires manual refreshing of the tabs for changes to appear. I'd like to be able to just middle-click on any view, task, list etc and have it added to the tray, like I would a tab in any web browser.

So, big desktop app update with some useless features arrived today and I still can't use tabs with it!! I feel like crying.
