Dependencies dates move with eachother

So you have Task A, and Task B is dependent on Task A. If Task A's due date is moved, shouldn't Task B also move with it?
I have a task, write draft v01, and it's due on the 15th. Afterwhich draft v02 can start on the 16th. But I then move this due date back to the 20th because the poor bugger got sick. This should mean that v02 is going to also start later, on the 21st.
My issue is that I have a significant amount of dependencies, and tbh, if something moves, I really don't want to have to then move all these other tasks just to keep up. Otherwise, the whole point of dependencies is severely limited, they should impact times as well.
I guess if others wouldn't want this, at least have an option to force time shifts through dependencies. Maybe a Clickapp? Turns out I really like Clickapps haha

Also if i move a blocking task earlier, it does not move the dependent task earlier. This important when repioritising taks based on circumstances

Also wondering if i can limit date dependencies to business days.
For example, if task A is due Oct 11 and subtask B is due Oct 5 - and I change task A to be due on Oct 9 and I want the subtask to update accordingly to be Task A - 6 days, but only business days, is that possible?

Lior Torenberg: Hey Lior! I'm actually going to move this comment to a new feature suggestion. I'll add you as a voter there, so you'll be kept in the loop!

This sounds like the due dates are moved, but are the start dates also moved? If not, this is only half-done, as I would still have to go back in and change the start date of the dependent task.
UPDATE: I confirmed that the due date moves, but the start date does not. While that might be a legitimate scenario sometimes, more typically a dependency requires the completion of the first task before the blocked task can start. Certainly, that's the case 90% of the time for me.

Trish Putnam: Hey Trish! We'll get the start dates portion added by next release. I definitely see the use cases there.

Zeb: Thank you! I love the energy and thoughtfulness you and the rest of the team put into ClickUp!
Zeb
Trish Putnam: Hey Trish! Just letting you know this feature was shipped and is now live on the app.

At the moment, the dependency function is very limited. For example, I can assign a dependent task (B) the status is fulfilled, although it depends on the task (A) I believe that this is not correct and with the transfer of the date I completely agree this is not enough !!

This is a very needed feature for us too! It would be great to set a due date for a second task based on a date of completion of a blocking task. For example, within 3 working days after the previous task is complete. We would really appreciate the ability to set due dates in working days. And yes, dependencies should be copied with a template.

I just want to add that the dependencies also should be copied with a template.
