Default permission for new users in public spaces, projects and lists
André Kampmann
For every new user that joins the Team I want him to have a certain permission inside a public Space/Project/List.
I have a team with spaces splitted by sectors. The new user would see everything that is public to the team and his permission today allows him to do anything he wants on other tasks.
I want it to be public so anyone can be flagged (@) and even set as watcher. If it was private, I would have to invite all this new users to it and set permissions one by one.
I don't want every new user from another sector to be able to change tasks from my sector, only see/comment or edit if needed.
Setting default permission for new users in a public space would let me "rest", not needing to check if there's any new user with full permissions every week.

Was this ever solved? Is there a way to do this now?

Just saw this happen for the first time today after getting my team started on ClickUp. Added a new user and they had full permissions to tons of public folders. It's a huge waste of time to have go in and fix this for every folder. I can't believe I'm going to have to do this every time we hire a new person. It seems like ClickUp could just default new users to whatever the lowest level permissions given is for a given public object. I could see how this might create the same problem in reverse, but I would think the majority of new users are not going to be people who need full access to everything.

It is VERY time-consuming to adjust the access level for new members on every public space. Please allow us to select an access level at invitation. An alternative would be to set a default permission for all new members.

yeap, it's a massive headache for me and other team leads right now.
There's a need to set default permission at space / folder / list level
At basic, just a dropdown menu added to the space's permission screen.
Say I set my space 'Support Ticket' to 'Comment' (if assigned)
So when I add a new user to ClickUp, that new user automatically have the permission 'Comment' when accessing this space.
