The quick entry window is anything but quick due to the lack of default list!

5 years and counting to implement what seems like a basic option.
We tell our uses to never use the "new" button as it's more hassle than it worth.

Zack Herman we ask them to create a task via Slack or going directly into the list or Kanban view and adding a new item from there.
If you're in Kanban view it's simple as adding a new card to the column - Jira style.
The Everything view for us a lot of people takes around a minute or more to load so most people rarely, if ever use that view and just straight to their space or list or kanban view via a favourite.
