custom tag order, then allow sorting tasks by that tag order (sort by tag)

In the short term I just want to be able to sort by tags alphabetically. If you have multiple tags, it sorts by the first tag then the 2nd, etc.
Tags are already sorted alphabetically "per task" so you can make more important tags surrounded by [] or () and they will appear first in the task.
Example: [Bug] or [Task] then (UI) or (SFX) then other less important tags.

Same here. For a start it would help if tasks with tags would be shown first in the results, not tasks without a tag. Not all of our tasks have tags, so it seems weird that sorting by sth means, you see the everything without it first.

Some of us recently started sorting our Lists by Tags. This works great to keep an overview of the different types of tasks. At the moment when sorting by tags, the Tasks within a tag are sorted by the order you assigned the tags to the task. We would love to see a feature like "sub sorting" where you can choose what the tasks are sorted by within the tag (by name, by Due Date, etc.)

Surely that's obvious :-)

It would be great if this could be added in board view as well.

This is currently important feature for me, as its kind of deal breaker - when comparing against Monday.com

I would like to see something similar but it sounds like the reverse of what Jannik wants. I sort mainly by due date but I have a number of tasks that have a rolling deadline, plus a number of tasks that are TBD so have no deadline at all. I'd love to be able to sort first by deadline, so the hard deadlines show up; then by tags, so the rolling deadlines show up second; and then the un-dated and un-tagged TBD items would show up last.

I would like to have the ability to sort the tasks groups by tags alphabetically

It's very important.

To clarify, this would be for the list view.
