Michael Van Doorn any word on this?

As others have noted, currently have to make my users go do another step of associating a customer after they complete a form. And this is if the customer already exists! If not, then they have to create the customer first as well. It's a ridiculous workflow and one of the reasons this set of users hates ClickUp. (I like it a lot, but having to subject users of a workflow I created to a convoluted user experience is not fun.)

Must have. Really missing this feature now.

add relationship field to form view

Would like to be able to add a relationship custom field, (relationship to task in another list), in the Form View. Currently, after we fill out a form, we have to go to List View to associate our customer (from our customer List) to the newly created task. Often this step is skipped because the field is not available in Form view.

Allow Relationship Fields in Form View

Allow inserting a Relationship Field into form view. For example, choose from a list of clients when reporting an interaction.

any update? This is a feature request from 2021!

This really should go without saying, but anywhere a relationship field exists — including in Forms — there should be a way to create a new custom task type on the fly, not just link to existing tasks.
For example, when submitting a Form to create a new Client task, I should be able to use relationship fields to simultaneously create and relate:
* a new "Client Contact" task
* new "Adult Children" tasks
* a new "Client Spouse" task
...all automatically linked to the newly created Client task.
In that same form, I should also be able to link pre-existing tasks like insurance companies or financial institutions.
Trying to get my team to manually create 6–7 tasks in different lists — and then link them all together one by one along with the preexisting— just to represent a single client's setup is honestly absurd. This is a basic, real-world workflow need that shouldn't require workarounds or 72 automations and a separate paid third-party form builder subscription.

We should be able to select a relationship with existing task in a drop down menu.

It's critical to implement authorization for forms with this. Otherwise it would be possible to play with the form to fetch all tasks publicly. ,

I really miss this feature (and the ability to use REGEX). Any update?
