Hi All
So is this actually happening or not? I "Stepped Up" from Trello but if I can't email in my tasks then I feel like I "Stepped Down". Has it been implemented and I've missed it or is it still pending (over 12 months late)?
Otherwise what I've seen so far seems pretty good and I'm looking forward to delving deeper.

HUGE HUGE ECHO of what Ben J said "We can currently import emails to zapier which is great, but to be next level (and more usable in reality) if you can allow replying to emails directly from clickup, it would be swt. Just create an email client and hook to smtp would be fine. See this for inspiration https://www.sortd.com/"

Hey there Ben! You can reply to ClickUp notification emails when they are regarding a specific task to leave a comment. Check it out: https://docs.clickup.com/features/email-clickup

Tarun Masani: Amazing feature guys! Using the generated email addresses in combination with email forwarding rules, to map them to easy to remember email addresses, such as clickup-action@domain.com which results in task being created in our 'Get Things Done > Action Items' list. Or have my team members report production issues via clickup-production-issue@domain.com to make bug reporting super easy. :)
Only thing which is missing for us, is the ability to have them auto assign (using the email of sender, which would match my email being used in my ClickUp account, thus assign to me) and manually assign the task, by e.g. adding the name(s) in the subject.
Edit: Found a small bug, where after creating a list and directly clicking the email button on the newly created list results in no email address being generated. And the copy button results in: "ClickUp list: Testing Bugs"<undefined>. A refresh of the page resolves this.

Melle Meijer: Hey there, Melle! That's a great suggestion! We have a thread for this feature here: https://clickup.canny.io/feature-requests/p/assign-tasks-via-email I'd love to see you add an upvote or a comment there. :) As for your bug, thank you for your report! I have passed this along to the engineering team, and I'll let you know what I hear back!

Tarun Masani: Great job, thanks for the quick resolve! Also upvoted and commented as suggested. Keep up the good work!

Truth is we all use our email inbox as our 'other' to do list so if you can bring the two together it will be a thing of beauty.

When will we be able to send emails from Outlook Desktop (or through Exchange Server) to Click Up to create new tasks?

Federico Viola
Mark W: Hi Mark
Did you received any feedback on this matter?
I have the same trouble...
THanks and all the best
Mark W
Federico Viola: Yes, if I use the email link provided in Clickup in the To field in my Outlook email it successfully creates a task in Clickup.
F
Federico Viola
Mark W: Well, Thanks a lot.
Mark W
Federico Viola: Anytime!

So I was thinking that this was going to be a way to send an e-mail into clickup and have the contents parsed and create a task. It doesn't look like this is what this is turning out to be. We want to use the auto e-mail that our ERP system has to be able to create auto-generated e-mails to be sent to an e-mail address and have a task created. Currently, we are using zapier to accomplish this, but I don't want to keep paying for that too just for a simple import. Is something like this in the works?
Edit: Never mind. That's what this one is. https://clickup.canny.io/feature-requests/p/send-email-to-clickup-comments-create-tasks

Thank you for getting this done!
Couple of problems:
- Weird Glitch in inbox. Clickup showing email subjects overlapping actual inbox (see attached)
- Original email attachments getting corrupted in Clickup (see attached)
Zeb
Jesse Lopez: Hey Jesse, we're looking into this now. Thanks for reporting it!
Zeb
Jesse Lopez: Hey Jesse! This should now be fixed in the latest release. It was an issue with some of the newer versions of Gmail. Let me know if it's fixed for you, and have a great weekend!

Zeb: Works great! Thanks!
