Create task from dependency popup
Maciej Plater-Zyberk
When I right click on a task > dependencies, start typing (searching) it would be great if I could not only choose from existing tasks but simply add a new one.

Zeb Waleed Elaghil tagging ClickUp team in the hopes that this request will be revisited. I see that this is already possible with the "Relationships" field, where typing in the relationships custom field related to a list prompts to create a new task if the task does not exist in the list. Here's hoping this can be implemented quickly... 🙏
Also, this seems to have been already planned in this related post.

I'm struggling with relationships without this feature. Without some type of link or guidance, the end user has to know the design and where the task should be created to navigate on their own. The goal is to make the workflow easy and streamlined but this will likely go unused by most until it can be more intuitive.

Feel like you guys are almost there with this one, as in the new Relationships area, you can create a Related task from there. It's not a "pop-up" per se, but in the previous iteration, all types of of "links," including arbitrary, which have now been replaced by the aforementioned generic "Relations," had the limitation that you couldn't create a task from that dialogue.
So we are close, but would like to see this for dependencies too like my colleagues!

And now with the relationships release this seems even more pertinent!
I'd like to add: it'd be good to be able to do this from any dependency dialogue window. It'd also for consistent functionality across Clickup.
That means you'd be able to do it while editing task dependencies in List View, or any of the other views. Both for individual tasks, and with bulk editing.
