Option to disconnect Google Calendar from the Planner

Currently, the Planner is forcing us to connect a Google Calendar from one of our accounts. However, this leaks unwanted personal data to other members of the organisation. It would be more convenient if there was a separate ClickUp calendar that would only display events that are added by any of the organisation's members while inside ClickUp (as opposed to events added to Google Calendar outside ClickUp)

As a company, you definitely don't want to use Google to sync your calendars. Not just because it doesn't make sense, but also for data protection reasons.
An independent calendar in ClickUp, with the option to sync, is a better solution.
It would be even better if you could register your own provider, with your own domain and hosting.

Thanks, I think it should work stanalone but also please add a standard protocol, so "any" calender talking iCal can be connected: https://clickup.canny.io/feature-requests/p/full-calendar-integration-ical

I use clickup as almost an all-in-one system, and I would like for most of my time blocking, events, etc. to be visible within a centralized calendar in Clickup (hence why I use the calendar view in the Everything space). This is why the calendar rollout isn’t making any sense to me, why would I want every task connected with a google calendar? I can see the value for teams, but for individuals, it’s overkill having multiple calendars and many notifications from both calendars.
I think it would be nice to just have an option, when scheduling a task within the calendar view, to have a button that says “Add to Google/Outlook Calendar” or something like that. I think for now, I will stick with the calendar view in the Everything space.

I try and de-Google as much as possible. I also think it's not a great idea to rely on another platform to make a core feature of ClickUp work, because, what if that core platform stops working, changes how they work, or removes features?
Also, QOL issues between the two - they don't always sync, or sync quickly, sometimes there are bugs between the two where Tasks get doubled-up in Google, calendar colours aren't the same and can't be attached to custom fields (because they are Google colours), etc etc etc.
Any attachment to Google and Outlook should be entirely optional.
