Complete subtasks in board view.

The ability to show nested subtasks in board view is great since it allows you to see how tasks are attached.
However, to complete a subtask, I have to open up the task and manually mark the subtask complete.
It would be faster to mark the subtask as complete from the main board view, just like a regular task.
As it is, waiting for the board item to open is so inefficient that I'm better off creating my subtasks as regular tasks and marking moving them off the board by marking them complete.

2024 Year, the feature is still missing. You guys are... well, hard to explain, have the worst possible business decision makers. I'm investigating task management tool for our startup and when I wasn't able to drag subtask only I've stopped looking into your "product". Will choose something better with that simple feature. Shame on you!

I would add that I wish subtasks could be in different columns. For me, Subtasks are related by subject, but they could be very far apart on the timeline so forcing all subtasks to move together in the cards view significantly reduces the functionality. I'd prefer not to have to make subtasks into regular tasks because I find it better than grouping with tags. Maybe an alternate solution would be to allow collapsing tasks with a certain tag? I know you can do this by using tag swimlanes, but it could be nice to have swimlanes by assignee and still collapse tasks by tag.

I just searched all over trying to figure out how to do this. This is something I could easily do in Asana. I just decided to move over to ClickUp and this might make me move back to Asana. I need to be able to check off subtasks under each task as I'm working. It's tedious to have to open up each subtask and then close it, just to mark it complete.

We are currently focusing on improving quality of List view. We will consider this request again when we move onto focusing on Board view enhancements.
In the meantime, I'd like to better understand how you would prefer to see the nested subtasks on a board. If you have used something similar in the past, I would help me better understand how you would expect them to appear.

Please action this soon!! We need the same functionality and options on the subtask as the main task (ie the slider on the left of the task which allows you to change the status without clicking in, or a right click mouse option).

yes, please allow to change the status of a subtask in board view. it's annoying having to click in the task each time to complete a subtask. thanks!
