Close parent task automatically when subtasks are closed

When a and b complete their sub tasks, we would want the task to be marked as complete automatically without someone having to go in and update the main task as closed
Ex:
Fix Issue (task not assigned to anyone)
- do this (sub task assigned to a)
- do this (sub task assigned to b)

Currently this only work on the Tasks not the subtasks Should it work for subtasks too? for every Task or Subtask that only have closed subtask in them, close their parent task.

You can do this with automations! When all subtasks resolved > Change status to X.

An absolute must. When all subtasks within a parent task are completed, the parent task should automatically be closed, (unless specified otherwise for relevant use cases).

Id like if you could also specify a number of subtasks to complete before it would mark the parent. For example I often use CU for schoolwork and the teacher says do 3 of these 5 tasks.

Oh yes please, I totally need this, because we end up with unscheduled unassigned parent tasks, which we will need either, to ad a dependent sub task just as a reminder to close the parent task, or to just forget about the parent task, and leave it open :/
I also vote that it should be optional, as sometimes, the case will be that one of the space owner may add another task later, or so.

Agree with the core concept, but I would prefer to get a pop up when I close a main task that asks "Close all subtasks?" (similar to the pop up I get for rescheduling a main task.)

Yes this is a great feature, and what's more you could have the option to do it, as there may be some exceptions. I'd envision a drop-down that asks "do you want to close the parent, too?" so there is the option either way.
Thanks!
