To all the people asking to be able to disable it, if ever you haven't found it, here is the request : https://feedback.clickup.com/feature-requests/p/option-to-disable-spellcheck-in-the-desktop-app

Yes, PLEASE add something that will suggest, not just outlined what is misspelled!! I can't spell but am still very smart and it takes so much time to google spellings, then typing them out since google has them split up by syllable. I'm dyslexic, so typing it out can still mix it up where it's still red, but clickup desktop is not suggesting anything, so now I need to go through each letter.... way too time consuming :( my workaround is to have the browser open, click to get the link of the task from desktop, then copy into browser, takes more time but not as much as googling the words. Maybe clickup can add a 3rd party spell check program that integrates with clickup, gramerly could be a good option.

Please have an option to disable spellchecker. For a non-English speaker like myself, it's really annoying.

Ezaki: Haha. It's crazy. I don't know how to disable it.

Michele Poletto: Same here in spanish. Any solutiones
Michele Poletto
Krishna van den Brule: Yes! Don't use the desktop app but use the webapp in Chrome browser and turn on the Enhanced Spell Check https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/12027911?hl=en

In Chrome you can also create an app shortcut that open ClickApp in a separate windows. https://support.google.com/chrome_webstore/answer/3060053?hl=en
Remember to check the flag "Open in a new window." In this way it create a desktop shortcut with the ClickApp logo on your desktop that you can use to open ClickApp like a desktop app.

the impossibility of disabling the spell checker is absolutely absurd

Has a spell checker program been integrated with Clickup?
Documents look very unprofessional if there are a few missed spelled words.

Stop spell checking, it's bullshit if cannot stop it :(. It's very easy for ClickUp but very ugly for users who don't use English as primary language

I can't update it either. And it doesn't prompt when I close and reopen the app
