Current Limitation:

At this time, ClickUp AI Agents are not able to “see” or interpret the checked/unchecked state of checklist items within a task description. The Agent only reads the raw description text, so it cannot reliably select the first checked item from a checklist—it will default to the first item in the list, regardless of its checked status. This is a current product limitation.
